‘Make it personal’ with brown&out…

SAS Embroidery, which began trading in 1997, has changed its name to brown&out.

The re-branding is a result of the company’s expansion in recent years, and its move into other personalised printing areas such as in-house transfer printing, and sublimation printing for promotional items such as mugs, coasters and photographs.

The company will remain in its current premises at Southpark Industrial Estate in Peebles where it has been since 1998, supplying a solid customer base of schools, hotels, sports clubs and local businesses.

Steve Brown, brown&out’s founder and proprietor is keen to point out that although the name has changed, the quality of products and customer service will remain the same.

“Our priority has always been to put the customer first, while offering a wide range of quality products delivered on time, every time,” says Steve.

“Embroidering on some garments can often be challenging, but we pride ourselves in always finding a solution, be it an alternative garment or a rework of an embroidery design.”

The name change coincides with the launch of brown&out’s new e-commerce website which features full catalogue ranges, with easy navigation and ordering systems.

“Our existing school customers and some of our clubs are now able to order online making the process much more efficient,” says Steve. “However, we always like to speak to our customers first hand, so that we can give them guidance and ideas – and, of course, that personal service which is sometimes lacking now-a-days.  As our strapline suggests, we want to ‘make it personal’ all round!”
